    A Day in the Life:

    As our Senior Property Accountant, you will have the opportunity to play an impactful role in the success of operations and serve as a mentor to our Property Accountants. While managing the over site of general ledger accounting activities for 6-10 luxurious multifamily properties, you will also be responsible for supporting the property’s goal of achieving the highest Net Operating Income possible.

    What You’ll Do:

    • Responsible for all basic accounting activities, including preparing journal entries, calculating management fees and preparing balance sheet reconciliations for institutional investment ownership clients
    • Responsible for monitoring cash position for assigned properties, preparing cash worksheets, initiating recurring payment requests (via check or wire request forms) for P-cards, taxes, insurance and debt payments
    • Responsible for completing monthly tax calculations & state filings, adhering to varying deadlines
    • Prepare monthly financial package and perform initial P&L variance reviews and review completed packets from assigned Property Accountant
    • Adhere to varied client closing calendars to timely deliver client specific monthly financial packages and review completed packets from assigned Property Accountant
    • Collaborate with Property Managers, Regional Managers, Accounting Managers and peers during pre-close and close activities to ensure accurate, timely and complete financial reporting
    • Training initiatives and mentorship opportunities with assigned Property Accountants

    What You’ll Need to Succeed:

    • BA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance and/or equivalent experience required
    • 2+ years of previous full cycle accounting experience in a real estate industry required
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel functions
    • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
    • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
    • Exceptional organizational skills and detail oriented
    • Work with limited supervision
